A plane operated by Air Algerie has crashed in Mali early Thursday, July 24 2014  on its way to Algiers after taking off a few minutes in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Officials said that the Plane have 116 passengers and 6 crew members onboard.

A Diplomat in the Malian Capital, Bamako said that the northern part of the country was struck by a powerful sandstorm where the plane's flight path likely lies.

The Aircraft took off from Burkina Faso and was supposed to land in Algiers but failed to reach its destination.

Air Navigation services loses track of the plane after takeoff and report said that the plane is missing for hours before the news was made.

An Air Algerie representative in Burkina Faso released the list of passengers on the plane included 50 french, 24 Burkinabe, 8 Lebanese,  4 Algerians, 2 from Luxembourg, 1 from Belgium, one Swiss, one from Nigeria, one Cameroonian, one Ukrainian and one Romanian in a press conference later that day. all 6 crew members are Spanish

According to CNN, the Fligh AH017 left Ougadogou, Capital of Burkina Faso at 12:45 AM local time on Thursday and expected to arrive at Algiers' Houari Boumediene Airport at 5:40 Am Local Time.
