Twitter is the second most popular social networking site next to Facebook. Since 2007 Twitter have already over 600 millions active members sharing their ideas, photos and videos everyday in a 140-character limit per post. But having millions of members including you, Here are some facts you probably didn't  know about Twitter.

1. The First Tweet Ever - The First tweet was posted by one of the Co-Founder of Twitter, Jack Dorsey which is "Just setting up my twittr" but it is an automated tweet for new member before, so the first tweet ever written by a human is his second tweet "inviting coworkers" on March 21, 2006.

2. The First Homepage Design - The Site opened to public on July 15, 2006 and the Twitter first ever homepage is this. Puberty done right?

3. The Most Followed Person - The most followed person on twitter is Katy Perry. The singer has 54.6 million followers that maker her on top since 2013, followed by Justin Bieber with 53 million followers.

4. User with the Most Number of of Tweets - This one below to a user @Yougakduan_00, a girl from Japan, who posted over 36 million tweets before twitter suspended her account.

5. Twitter's Blue Bird Has a Name - Yes! You read it right, that blue bird has a name. The Twitter famous logo named Larry. Larry the Bird was named after Larry Bird, A former NBA player from Boston Celtics.

6. The Most Re-tweeted Tweet Ever - and one of the most famous Selfie as well is from Ellen DeGeneres. Ellen take the photo with some of the celebrities during Oscar which and posted it on Twiiter with the caption "if only Bradley's arm was longer. Best Photo Ever. #oscars". After the ceremony the tweet have almost 2 millions re-tweets and still counting up to date.

7. User with the most number of "Following" - The title belong to @ArabicBest who follows 2.4 million account followed by a social media company, Hootsuite, follows nearly 1.6 million accounts.

8. The "Twitter" Origins - Twitter team almost named the social network site as "Twitch" before finalizing it a Twitter. The team look at the Oxford English Dictionary and found the word "Twiiter" and Dorsey said "it means a short inconsequential burst of information chirps from birds".

9. Never Again - Jack Dorsey, one of the developer of twitter never again posted a photo on Instagram after Facebook bought it.

10.  Most Richest People on Twitter - 3 of the five riches people in the world have verified twitter account. Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and Larry Elison.

11. The Hashtag Godfather - the hashtag was created in August 2007 by Chris Messina (@Chrismessina) tweeted, "how do you feel about using #(pound) for groups. As in #Barcamp [Msg]"

12. The Big Two Competition - Did you know that Twitter have 13.1 million fans on Facebook. While Facebook have 13.8 million Twitter followers.

13. The First Sad Announcement -  Sam Sethi was the first person to announced on twitter that he had been fired.

14. Tweets Per Day - Approximately Twitter receive more thatn 500 million tweets a day, that's  5,700 tweets per second. Back on July 15,200,6 the launching day of twitter, there were only 224 tweets sent.

15. Billion Dollar Idea - The idea was created on a playground slide in a small neighborhood in San Francisco that now worth $24 dollar billion.
