What is BPI Globe BanKo Microsavings?

The BanKO savings account is designed to cater to the needs of the unbanked. This account does not require customers to maintain a minimum balance and they can save as little as P50 at a time. BanKO customers can cash in and cash out funds in their accounts through 2,000 BanKO partner outlets nationwide.  BanKO and non-BanKO customers alike may cash-in to another BanKO accountholder at partner outlets as well. -- Banko.com.ph

BanKo was introduced and became popular when the noontime show Eat Bulaga is giving away a savings account from them to their winners of Juan 4 All All 4 Juan with an initial deposit and it's up for the winner if they will continue to save money.

They will also provided with an ATM card that can be used to withdraw funds from any ATM nationwide. Each ATM withdrawal is charged a service fee of P15.

Each depositors that have a P2000 average daily balance can earn up to 1% to 3%  per annum plus free life insurance coverage up to five times of the size of their average balance. Not bad eh?

To open a Banko Microsaving account just visit any Banko partner outlets with the following requirments.
  • Globe or TM SIM card
  • P100 (P50 for the ATM card and P50 for the initial deposit)
  • Photocopy of 1 valid ID or a Barangay Certificate with photo.
Accountholders may cash-in to their own account for free, but a minimal fee of P2 for every P100 cash-out transaction.
